Grade 8

Grade 8 students have individualized programs based on academic performance and student preferences. Students are eligible to take regents courses in Math and Science. Eighth grade students also take a foreign language proficiency exam at the end of the school year for possible high school credit.

Students' schedules include:
  • Math
  • Science
  • Social Studies
  • ELA
  • Foreign Language
  • 2 elective classes
    • 1 elective if enrolled in Regents courses

There are five (5) marking periods for the school year, with four (4) separate report card distributions - fall, winter, spring, and the last day of school. The fifth marking period is provided with the fourth marking period grades as an average of each student's academic performance throughout the entire year.
